Transtar is a second generation family owned and operated moving and storage company.

Wayne Lobasio grew up in the moving business.  His father was the founder of Transtar, and from a young age, Wayne worked in every aspect of the business from packing and driving, to dispatch and sales.  This lifelong experience helps shape Transtar’s vision of how to best service relocating families. Wayne’s customer service passion has helped Transtar become a respected leader in the moving industry, the top residential agent in the nationwide Arpin Van Line network, and an active member of the local business and sports community.

Transtar Moving Systems – Past and Present

From humble beginnings as Cherry Hill Moving and Storage in 1962, Transtar has developed into a top rated local and long distance moving service provider.   Our history is best summarized by our awards, our clients and our reputation.

The company was established in the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware region to meet the need for a reliable local moving, storage and relocation services. Successfully meeting this goal, we expanded our operations to include inter-state, long-distance, and international moves (changing our name to Transtar Moving Systems to better reflect our global service reach).  At the same time, we satisfied our customers' growing interest in reliable storage by offering professional storage services.  

Along the way, we never lost sight of the family’s core philosophy of putting the customer first and providing customer service that far exceeds expectations.

Building upon on our success and growing clientele, we joined forces with Arpin Van Lines, a Premier name amongst the top 10 van lines in the country.  Since joining Arpin in 1985, Transtar has won numerous service and sales awards  including the honor of being awarded the #1 residential moving agent in the country. Today, Transtar, along with Arpin Van Lines’ nationwide agent network, provides complete relocation and related services.

We professionally perform a full variety of local or long-distance relocation services, including residential and commercial moving, logistics and distribution, packing and storage services, and automobile transportation. We operate our own warehouse-storage and document storage facilities and can satisfy any household and commercial storage needs. In addition, we currently handle international and overseas moves to more than ninety (90) different countries around the world.

Finally, we provide pre- and post-relocation related services, including packing, unpacking, crating, uncrating, and box delivery, as well as, the handling of artwork, safes, grandfather clocks, appliances, light fixtures and chandeliers.
